Being independent of your parents and being able to make your own decisions is considered one of the most important things for you as a teenager who is discovering your future. Your parents’ guardian behavior is driving you crazy, isn’t it? As a result, you may feel frustrated and angry.
What if I told you that you have more options than you think? Take a look around your daily activities and you will find that you have options like;
How you spend your time
Your study plans and daily assignments
Your choice of friends
Your future goals and your passion
And especially your beliefs!
You choose what you think is true for you and your world, you choose your view of others, your thoughts, and opinions that you have about the outside environment.
You choose what you feel, say, react, and behave.
I noticed that my client registered with Teen Coaching in Dubai didn’t realize how much he was in control and could only make decisions outside of his parents.
What is the definition of beliefs?
Beliefs are any idea that you believe to be true about yourself, others, and life.
Clarity and awareness of what you believe, what you want, and why you want it can be like a beacon on a clear night guiding you toward the realization of your dreams.
Unfortunately, most of us are unaware of our beliefs. Many of them are acquired when we were very young, and as we mature they affect our feelings, thoughts, and actions whether we know it or not.
The problem is, many of our beliefs can backfire.
A self-defeating belief does not support us, it does not help us.
An example of a self-defeating and unsupported belief can be found in the situation of a young woman who is repeatedly told that women are not business minded. This thought is etched into your subconscious mind and grows throughout your teenage years. Your perception and experiences are aligned with this impression and therefore reinforce it. The young girl goes to university, finds a job, and moves to a region experiencing a real estate boom. However, all the houses he finds are bad deals. Sometimes it is too late. His experiences coincide with the impression in his subconscious that he is not business-minded.
A second daughter learns that she can do whatever she wants and that she is entrepreneurial. Their experiences reinforce this impression. By the time she moves to the same neighborhood as the first daughter, she has already established several businesses. Discover incredible deals all over the city and get moving right away.
Our education, what we have been told and our experience shape our beliefs. These are the windows through which we see ourselves and the world and through which we govern the quality of our life.
Take a close look at it and identify any beliefs that are not supporting you and preventing you from living the life of your dreams. You can change your beliefs at any time if you want!
YOU MAY CHOOSE TO REPLACE OLD UNNECESSARY BELIEFS WITH NEW, SOUND AND SUPPORTIVE BELIEFS!
Tip # 1: Be aware of your old negative beliefs because those beliefs have kept you in your comfort zone. If you start to believe in yourself, you will go and try for the volleyball team. Of course, there is always the possibility that things will not turn out the way you want them to, and then you will have to face a disappointment, something that is outside your comfort zone. It is much more comfortable to stay where you are than to risk. Most people have inherent resistance in them, and that keeps them where they are with negative beliefs about me. Be aware of this resistance and be prepared to fight it! You are enough!
Tip # 2: Before you fall asleep and wake up, think about three positive thoughts about yourself. To help her remember to do this, write the number 3 on a piece of paper and place it next to her bed.
